HEALTHY MINDS

This app was developed by neuroscientists (doctors of the mind) with a mission to guide people to a better “well-being”.

They offer

  • Tools proven to reduce stress and improve focus
  • Meditations sessions
  • Mental exercises
  • Habit Tracking

The “map” feature is one of my favorite features. The app will build you a “map” that allows you to set personalized goals for your “mindset” and its a nice visual of your progress

It is a non-profit organization – they only accept donations. No monthly fee. The app is completely free and only asks for donations to continue the cause.

Definition

ADHD defined

ADHD/ADD is like:

  • Thinking like a squirrel on a caffeine binger.
  • Paying attention feels like trying to catch a butterfly during a hurricane.
  • A thousand browser tabs open all at once – all the time.

Basically – Two chemicals in the brain (Dopamine and Norepinephrine) are out of whack – either you produce too much or too little of these chemicals = ADHD/ADD

Proper Definition

19% Of kids that live under the poverty line have ADHD or a learning disorder.

“Children living in consistently low income households and consistently mid-low income have an increased risk for ADHD” Research on this

**This should NOT be self-diagnosed. Go see a doctor.

A quirky app that is simple and easy to understand.

You can organize your “to-do” list and prioritize certain tasks on this app.

The app is widely free but you can upgrade to the premium version for $50/year. This will allow you to sync all of your devices, unlimited sharing of your to-do lists, and other neat features.

They won an award for being one of the Best Charities in America. It is worth sorting through the text overload.

Important stuff they offer:
